Foundation problems are not only a headache when considering repairs, but they can be unappealing to the eye as well. There are many ways to tell if you have problems with your foundation.

Look for cracks in the exposed concrete at the base of your house. There may be small, non-structural cracks, although, keep an eye on them, for they could lead to trouble later.
If you are concerned, call a professional to inspect the cracks for you. Check your house during and after a rain. Are there ponds of water near or around your house? Proper drainage is essential.
